Why Dom is So Special
Son of Cats Painted Illusion (3-time champion cutting horse)
Only known offspring carrying the rare Champagne gene
Registered as: Amber Champagne Tobiano
Dom is genetically and visually unique.
✨ What Does “Champagne” Mean?
-The champagne gene is a rare dilution gene that: Softens coat color into a metallic or “shimmering” tone
-Creates freckled pink skin
-Produces light, striking eye color (often amber or hazel)
Combined with the cream gene, Dom’s tobiano markings can appear subtle or muted—giving him a distinctive, almost glowing appearance that stands out in a quiet, elegant way.
