Max
Max has crossed the rainbow bridge.
I'm not sure how to describe Max other than as the happiest dog I have ever met. Max is approximately 16 years old (according to his DNA test he is a Chihuahua/Mini Pinscher mix) and he was surrendered to the Human Society in 2021 by his owners to be euthanized due to his multiple health issues that were more than his owners could handle. Luckily for Max, we arrived before that happened and brought him back to the sanctuary. Since then he has had a mass removal, been on medications for his Cushing's Disease and hypoactive thyroid and has been treated for pancreatitis. In spite of his ailments, Max is now thriving and loving life. Everything excites him and his joy for life is contagious......he is known for screaming with excitement when it is time to eat or go for a walk. Max is a favorite by many here at the sanctuary and we feel honored to be able to share his golden years with him.
