Meet Our Members

​Anita Keese is the Co-Director of our rescue. Anita was born and raised in South Africa and has always had a strong love for animals and nature. Anita become a vegetarian as a child after witnessing the traumatic slaughtering of a lamb. Since then Anita has been an active animal activist. She currently resides in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with her partner, rescue animals and pets.

Gina Wille is a dedicated board member of our sanctuary and the head of our fundraising committee. She is passionate about helping us secure the resources needed to support as many animals as possible, and she consistently uplifts morale with her positive and enthusiastic spirit.

​Angelique Barbara (also known as Dr. Angel) is a board member of our rescue. Dr. Angel has been passionate about animals her entire life which led to earning a BS in Veterinary Science, MS in Veterinary Pathobiology and Doctorate in Chiropractic. Angelique is the founder of Holistic Animal Studies, a company that offers online animal bodywork courses. Angelique lives in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with her partner, Anita, and their animals.

​Sara Harper is a board member of our rescue. Sara has been extremely active in her community for years rescuing and rehabilitating all animals in need. Sara works as a veterinary technician and lives on her farm in Samsula, Florida with her husband, children and animals.

​Sarina Barbara (also known as Dr. B) is a board member for our rescue. She is a small animal veterinarian in Reno, Nevada and has been active with several animal rescues throughout the years. Dr. B is passionate about spaying and neutering dogs and cats and educating the public. Dr. B utilizes a combination of holistic and allopathic treatments in her practice and provides medical advice and services for our rescue animals.


Want to volunteer?

Whether you are up for cleaning up after and caring for animals or would like to help with fundraiser events and grant applications, we can always use the extra help! We are also approved as community service hours for students and court orders. Contact us and we will email you a volunteer application.
